The political revolution in Tunisia that erupted suddenly in December 2010 was followed by sweeping cultural changes, which have received little attention. Muneer Saidani examines the metamorphoses of the national cultural field—and the contests of power therein—in revolutionary Tunisia.
Muneer Saidani is Associate Professor of Sociology at the Higher Institute of Human Sciences, Tunis Al Manar University. He is interested in the socio-anthropology of culture and art, and socio-cultural change in contemporary Tunisia and the Arab world. He has published several books and articles in Arabic, French, and English in Tunisia and abroad.
